Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to survey and create a database of motorcycle repair shops in Songkhla City Municipality and 2) to develop a geographic information system ( GIS) for searching for motorcycle repair shops in this area. This system allows users to conveniently and quickly find motorcycle repair shops through smartphones and computers. Spatial data collection was conducted through field surveys, including the collection of location coordinates for all 40 motorcycle repair shops in the Songkhla City Municipality area. The collected data was processed and displayed on a GIS developed using the Google Maps API, clearly showing the locations of these repair shops. The system’s performance was evaluated by three experts, with results indicating a high level of efficiency ( ????̅ = 4. 48, S. D. = 0. 21) . Furthermore, a satisfaction survey was conducted with 30 users, who rated their satisfaction with the system as the highest ( ????̅ = 4. 81, S. D. = 0. 37) . The development of this system has demonstrated a significant reduction in the time required to find repair shops and has increased convenience for motorcycle users in the Songkhla City Municipality. This research highlights the effectiveness of applying geo- informatics technology in developing a GIS for locating motorcycle repair shops, significantly enhancing both efficiency and user convenience.
