Financial disbursement system, e-PassbookAbstract
The payment system, also known as the e-Passbook system, is a sub-system of the financial management information system of Maejo University. It was developed to facilitate the recording and tracking of disbursements by various departments. The aims of this system are as follows: 1) To enhance the payment system for the management of disbursement data within departments. 2) To improve the efficiency of financial management, making it more streamlined and easier to audit. 3) To reduce the complexity of tasks, minimizing the workload associated with manual recording processes that are time-consuming. 4) To evaluate the satisfaction with the system's usage. The system has been developed using ASP.NET technology and a relational database, Microsoft SQL Server, with SQL (Structured Query Language) as the standard language for database communication. It operates as a web application accessible through the internet using web browsers, with Google Chrome version 12 or higher. SVN software is used for version control management of files between Client and Server. The payment system has been developed with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for user interaction. The workflow of the system can be summarized as follows: 1) Recording payment requests/payment petitions, 2) Verifying and approving payments, 3) Executing payments, 4) Recording payment transactions and generating reports, 5) Conducting audits and account verifications, and 6) Maintaining and upgrading the system. Additionally, the system is integrated with various relevant internal systems, including the Budgeting System, Revenue Management System, and Procurement System. It is also designed to be capable of connecting with external systems, such as the MJU API, to ensure flexibility for future integrations. The evaluation of user satisfaction with the system was conducted using a sample size of 59 participants. The tool used for this evaluation was a structured questionnaire. The satisfaction evaluation questions were based on a 7-point rating scale, covering the following aspects: 1) The system is easy to use and not complex, 2) The system supports work efficiency, 3) The system is stable, secure, and accessible at all times, 4) The accuracy of data storage in the system, 5) The accuracy of the results in report generation, 6) The use of usernames and passwords for user authentication, and 7) The definition of user access rights. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, percentage, standard deviation). The results of the satisfaction evaluation showed that the majority of users were female, aged between 41 and 50 years, with a bachelor's degree, and the majority were financial and accounting professionals. Overall, the satisfaction level of the system users was high, with a mean score of 4.11 and a standard deviation of 0.55.
