Development of an Online Interview Registration System for Pharmacy Program Admission at University of Phayao

Abstract

        This research aimed to develop an online interview registration system for applicants to the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Phayao, and to evaluate user satisfaction. The developed system features distinctive capabilities including user authentication, role-based authorization, and comprehensive interview process management—from applicant registration, interview room allocation, and score recording to summary report generation, which differentiate it from general registration systems.  The system was developed following the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. The sample consisted of 98 participants from three groups: students, faculty members, and administrative staff. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
         System usability testing with 263 actual users revealed technical issues in only one case (0.38%). Performance evaluation using Google Lighthouse yielded a Performance score of 93 out of 100. User satisfaction was rated at high to very high levels across all dimensions, with an overall mean satisfaction score of 4.65 (SD = 0.48) for the student group and 4.75 (SD = 0.39) for the faculty and staff group.The highest satisfaction among students was for the system's compatibility across multiple devices, while faculty and staff rated the clarity and comprehensibility of data displays and status reports most highly. The findings demonstrate that the developed system effectively meets the needs of all user groups and successfully addresses the limitations of the previous system, particularly in user authentication, access control, systematic data management, and cross-device compatibility.
